Many of the LCNN partners have lending libraries and kits to help your adventure be a huge success. Whether you are a teacher taking your students outside or are planning a fun event for your community, LCNN partners have you covered. Educator Kits:
Many of the LCNN partners have learning kits ready to go for your on campus learning or field trips. Hands-on learning makes a huge impact on students.

Lower Columbia Estuary Partnership - Kits on watersheds, streams, wildlife and schoolyard scavenger hunts.
WA Dept. of Natural Resources - Forestry - Youth Education & Outreach Program. In 2023, DNR launched its Youth Education and Outreach Program to connect on state lands.. Youth Education and Land Mapping Tool (YELM) is designed to support K-12 teachers
Vancouver Audubon Society - Kits help teach about birds, habitat and nature. Audubon Adventures for curriculum ideas. Also, you can purchase a Habitat Connection kit to learn about birds and their habitats
Outdoor adventure equipment and games:
Fort Vancouver Regional Library now has the Library of Things, a hands-on collection that lets you explore, create, and discover—beyond books. Borrow items like:
telescopes
pickleball kits
yard games
trekking poles
bird watching kits
Disc golf kits
Bocce ball kits
and more from participating libraries.
Individuals with resident and non-resident cards can now begin to place holds on items using your library card.
Check Out Washington backpacks:
The Fort Vancouver Regional Libraries (FVRL) system offers a program called "Check Out Washington," which allows patrons to borrow backpacks containing a Discover Pass for free entry to Washington state parks and attractions. Packs may also include field guides, binoculars and other tools to help your adventure be successful.
Waste Connection’s Event Lending Library:
If you are hosting an outdoor event, Waste Connections can help you protect the environment and make it easy to clean up. The ClearStream program provides waste and recycling stands, bags and covers, as well as food waste containers.
They also have reusable plates, bowls, cups, silverware and more!
Reservations are required for pick up and drop off of all equipment. Contact Waste Connections to help plan your event and get the right number of equipment.
WSU-Vancouver Student Gear Library:
Calling all WSU students! Get outside and try a new adventure with friends. The WSU Vancouver Gear Library staff have an extensive rental gear library at a fraction of the cost of other outdoor shops. Our staff can help you plan a trip and show you how to use our gear. Reserve online through your WSU Student account. Available gear includes:
Winter fun - skis, sleds, snowshoes, snowboards, etc.
Summer fun - paddle board kits, dry bags
Camping - tents, backpacks, sleeping bags, camp stoves, and more
Climbing - crash pads
Fishing - rods, reels, tackle box
