Fostering Environmental Awareness and Increasing Engagement through School Gardens and Outdoor Spaces

REGISTER

In this workshop, hosted collaboratively by Lower Columbia School Gardens (LCSG) and ESD 112, we will explore ways to engage students in outdoor learning through school gardens or other outdoor spaces on campus. Teachers will be immersed in various activities and processes that model how to manage an outdoor learning classroom and while taking advantage of outdoor spaces on your campus. Teachers will be given opportunities to connect and collaborate to adapt resources and ideas to their own classrooms based on NGSS standards. Finally, participants will have the opportunity to build a vision for how outdoor learning can support the holistic well-being of the students they serve.

Please dress in comfortable clothing and shoes so you feel comfortable as we go outdoors.

*We will be paying for sub-coverage so you can attend**

**Lunch will be provided*
