ROAD TRIP: PCTA- Trail Work Project @ Timothy Lake

Pacific Crest Trail Association - Trail Work Project to celebrate National Trails Day @ Timothy Lake for Trail Brushing, Elev. 3,297’

Join the Mount Hood Chapter in the Mount Hood National Forest: Zigzag RD

Project Leader Info: Andy Nguyen anguyen@pcta.org

Maximum Number of Volunteers: 8

Registration Required HERE

This will be an unusual but exciting project for the PCTA as we will not working on the PCT! Instead, we will be working on brushing a mountain bike trail that intersects the PCT to encourage use of the designated bike trail rather than the PCT where bikes are prohibited.

PCTA supports recreation in all its forms and is excited to contribute to a neighboring trail to ensure everyone has access, however they prefer!

This is a fun day of brushing! All are encouraged to attend, no experience required. We will have experienced crew leaders prepared to demonstrate safe and effective trail work practices.

Physical Requirements: Moderate. This project is suitable for individuals in good physical condition who participate in a semi-exercise routine. Most people who are physically active can participate at this level. The components of this project may include one or more of the following: hiking 1-5 total miles each day, elevation change of 1000 ft or less over the course of the hike, and moderately physical work activities.

Trail Maintenance Experience Required: No

Volunteer 4x4 High Clearance Vehicle: No
