Mushroom Walk for Beginners

  • Water Resources Education Center 4600 SE Columbia Way, Vancouver WA (map)

Join Vancouver Water Resources Education Center for a beginner-friendly program focused on discovering the amazing world of mushrooms.

We’ll explore what makes fungi unique, learn about their ecology, and practice using field guides to build identification skills. Please note, this is not an edible mushroom class.

  • This class is suitable for adults and youth ages 12 and older. All youth need to be accompanied by an adult.

  • Advanced registration required. Sign up today!

  • The class will be outdoors and take place rain or shine.

  • Expect to be stationary using field guides and learning about mushrooms for half the program and walking for the other half.

  • We will walk about 1 mile or less during the program. Walk will be on a variety of surfaces, including paved pathways and uneven, unpaved paths or sandy areas.

If the event becomes full, please contact the Water Center at vanwrec@cityofvancouver.us or 360-487-7111 to add your name to the waitlist.
