Join Columbia Land Trust for a workshop all about caring for mason bees, and explore the many benefits of adding these incredible pollinators to your yard.
Former Columbia Land Trust Board Member Janet Gifford will share a presentation with all the details of how to care for your new mason bees, covering their life cycle, what you need to have in your greenspace, off-season cleaning, and more. You’ll also learn about the popular Backyard Habitat Certification Program, which is co-managed by Columbia Land Trust and Bird Alliance of Oregon, and operates in Clackamas, Multnomah, and Washington Counties in Oregon and Clark County in Washington.
Attendees will each go home with their own mason bee starter colony containing about 20 cocoons! There will also be time for questions and discussion.
Both workshops are on Saturday, March 14th, 2026 at Clark College in Vancouver, Washington and will last for about 90 minutes.
