Salmon Creek Volunteer Mural Project - Call for artists!

Join our community to paint a 400’ long mural to celebrate Salmon Creek and the fish who thrive in it!

The wall on NE 117th St. at I-5, across from Salmon Creek, in Vancouver, WA, is covered with graffiti. Now is the time to transform the wall into an interesting, community involved mural. The mural will be fish, native to the creek, swimming upstream. There is plenty of room for lots of artists and lots of fish.

Each artist will create their design and then paint it. Each fish will be approximately 4’ long and will be in grey tones, from black to white. The designs can be realistic, abstract, native, cartoon, spray can….all are welcome!

No political, religious or vulgar art aspects will be allowed.

Each artist will submit a sketch of their design by July 15, 2025 for consideration. The mural painting will be in September 2025, on weekdays and weekends.
