  • CASEE Center, Building B, Room 205 11104 NE 149th Street, Brush Prairie, WA. 98606 (map)

Join Portland garden writer and photographer Amy Campion, Co-author of Gardening in the Pacific Northwest: The Complete Homeowner's Guide for her eight simple steps we can take to create more insect-friendly habitat in your own backyards.

Bonus, see some of her amazing photography as she shows us some of the fascinating creatures you will hopefully see in your gardens.

News of crashing insect populations may make you feel hopeless about the future. However, there are many things you can do to make a real difference in improving insect biodiversity where you live. In this talk, you'll learn eight simple steps you can take to create more insect-friendly habitat in your garden, and you'll meet some of the fascinating creatures that show up when you welcome them in. Time and weather permitting we may go out into the garden and look for bugs.

NatureScaping classes are free for members ($25 per year; $15 for seniors), or $15 per class for nonmembers. Registration required at:  info@naturescaping.org or marlene52ns@gmail.com or call 360-737-1160.
