Green Schoolyards the focus of recent Clearing magazine issue

Green Schoolyards took center stage in the latest issue of Clearing magazine, a resource for place-based environmental education. You can view the entire issue of Clearing here. The issue is a great piece to use to share the importance of Green Schoolyards with others. It offers the basics of greens schoolyards, state policies, grant information, activation ideas, success stories from schools around the state, FAQ’s, teaching activity ideas listed by grade, and many other resources.

Many voices from southwest Washington are featured. You’ll find articles written by:

  • Jane Tesner Kleiner, Lower Columbia Nature Network program manager

  • Bekah Marten, WSU Clark County Extension School garden coordinator

  • Ian Thompson, Lower Columbia School Gardens, operations coordinator and founder

Take a look and share with those in your network. Clearing is a publication of E3 Washington. Read more about their efforts here.
