How to Teach Nature Journaling for STEM Outdoor Learning - October 19 - Register now

Teachers and educators (for students of all ages), join author John Muir Laws for a hands-on workshop to learn how to use the technique of "nature journaling" to teach your students to use a variety of skills to observe the world around them. Community partnerships are bringing nature back to schools and supporting techniques to teach STEM and other curriculum outdoors. At this workshop, you will learn how to focus curiosity, attention and wonder using a variety of skills to engage students to ask more questions and discover answers with meaningful connections. John’s technique has been taught in numerous on-line and in-person workshops around the world, including the annual Wild Wonder conference. This workshop is sponsored with generous support of the Children & Nature Network and National League of Cities, Cities Connecting Children to Nature program, which is providing assistance to the Lower Columbia Nature Network to develop tools to launch the SW WA Green Schoolyards Action Plan
