Join Shae (they/them) and others for a relaxed, accessible morning of stationary birding at the beautiful Necanicum Estuary in Seaside, OR.
Look for the pride flag! 🏳️🌈This affinity event is for queer, BIPOC, and/or neurodivergent birders looking to connect with birds, nature, and community at a slower pace.
Rather than covering miles of trail, we'll spend our time watching the estuary from an accessible viewing area with options for short journeys nearby, giving us the chance to slow down, notice more, and enjoy shorebirds, waterbirds, raptors, and whatever else the tide brings. Late summer is one of the best times to visit the estuary, with migrating shorebirds moving through the area.
✨ No birding experience necessary
🦆 Beginners welcome
🔭 Loaner binoculars available if you need them
💚 Free to attend
RSVP is through Meetup—link & more details (or in our stories). It helps us get a head count, but is never intended to be a barrier. If it's a barrier for you, just show up!
